
Ingredients for 6 servings
- 1 Pound Ground Turkey
- 1 Red Onion, Chopped
- 1 Green Bell Pepper, Chopped
- 2 Cans Kidney Beans OR Chili Beans, Drained
- 1 Large Can Diced Tomatoes
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 1-2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
- 3-4 Whole Clove
- 1⁄8 Teaspoon Paprika
- 1⁄8 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- Salt
- Cooked White Rice
Preparation
In a large skillet, cook the turkey meat. Just before it's completely cooked add the onion and bell pepper and cook for about 5 more minutes.
Add all remaining ingredients and simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally for about 30 minutes.
Serve over cooked white rice.
Crock Pot Option: Brown turkey meat in a skillet. Add all remaining ingredients to a crock pot. Cook on low 4-8 hours or on high for 2-4 hours.
