Pumpkin Shmumpkin Cake

Ingredients for 8 servings

  • Pumpkin Cake:
  • 15.25 Ounce Package Spice Cake Mix
  • 15 Ounce Can Pumpkin
  • THAT’S IT!
  • Ghost Fluff Topping:
  • 5.1 Ounce Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
  • 15 Ounce Can Pumpkin
  • 1 Teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 16 Ounce Container Frozen Whipped Topping,Thawed

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Generously grease a 9x13 inch baking pan; set aside.
In a large bowl, mix together the spice cake mix and canned pumpkin (do not add oil or eggs as box instructs) until well blended. Spread evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
Chill for at least 1 hour.
Topping Preparation:
In a large bowl, mix together pudding mix, pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice. Fold in the thawed frozen whipped topping and spread over cake. Refrigerate any remaining cake.
