Ingredients for 6 servings

  • 1 Medium Onion, Chopped
  • 1 20 Ounce Can Pineapple Tid Bits Not Drained
  • 3 15 Ounce Cans Assorted Beans White, Pinto, Kidney or Chili Drained and Rinsed
  • 2 Teaspoons Pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
  • ¾ Cup of Ketchup
  • 3 Tablespoons Mustard
  • 1 Teaspoon Red Pepper Flake
  • 1 ½ Cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 Ham Steak, Cubed
  • SLURRY:
  • 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 2 Cups COLD Water

Preparation

In a crock pot add all of the ingredients excluding the cornstarch and water. Next you will need to add the slurry, made out of the cornstarch and water. Add the COLD water to a medium size bowl, whisk in the cornstarch. Add slurry to crock pot, stir to combine and slow cook for 4 hours on high heat or 8 hours on low.
